The Origin Story
Yummi Harvest is a family owned and operated farm in Lake County, Florida, just a few minutes from The Villages. When they decided to open their doors to the public for U-pick oranges, they were eager to make themselves known in the community. But like many small businesses, they struggled to get the word out. They were busy getting their business up off the ground and didn't have time to manage or even think about social media! When we began analyzing their existing profiles, they had a small presence on Facebook and were barely visible on Instagram. On top of that, their brand lacked a clear identity, and they desperately needed a strategy to reach their target audience.
We knew that we had the time and know-how to get attention online so that people would show up and start talking about them! They needed a team that could think critically about their goals, make creative decisions, and build a brand that resonated with their community. We brought our passion for helping businesses grow, along with expertise in content creation and brand building, to help Yummi Harvest turn their struggles into opportunities and sales.

The Strategy
We knew that the first step was creating a clear identity for Yummi Harvest—a brand that felt authentic and inviting. While we don't usually offer these services, we decided to go the extra mile and build a clear, welcoming brand identity. We then shifted focus on building the strategy and understanding our targets. We worked closely with the owners and defined the demographics we were after: local families, nature lovers, and retired folks in The Villages. Once we understood who we were speaking to, we built a custom strategy made to reach the identified demographics.
Through research, we discovered that Yummi Harvest’s audience was more active on Facebook than Instagram, so we shifted our focus accordingly. We advertised in local Facebook groups and Marketplace to reach potential customers where they already were. To amplify their reach, we partnered with local influencers who shared the same down-to-earth vibe as Yummi Harvest. This collaboration made the content feel casual, accessible, and personal—just like the farm itself.

The Results
In just one season (three months), the transformation was nothing short of incredible:
-
Instagram views skyrocketed by 900%, while follower count grew by 160%.
-
On Facebook, engagement increased by 25%, bringing even more families to the farm.
-
The owners were able to focus on what they loved—welcoming customers and creating unforgettable experiences—without worrying about social media content every day.
-
While some people came because of physical signs along the road, almost everyone we asked came from Facebook. The community showed up in droves, with many families driving over 2 hours to visit!
-
Orlando Weekly reached out to the owners to include them in their magazine after finding them online.
Working with Yummi Harvest wasn’t just about boosting numbers; it was about helping a family business thrive and share their passion for the Earth and wellness with the community. Seeing their success was as sweet as the oranges they grow and we are honored to have been a part of their journey!
